As usual I am in love with Erin Considine’s new collection. Her mix of metals and textiles leads to such a beautiful, organic and rustic marriage in jewelry. Also, can we talk about how beautiful the light and the model in her Spring 2013 Lookbook are? Swoon.

Over the Weekend

This weekend really did feel like Spring! I had a wonderful weekend soaking it up. The Quail, my stepson and I went out for lunch and then wandered around Brooklyn Bridge Park on Saturday and the Quail took some fun photos. On Sunday we visited an animal shelter and walked the sweetest pup I have ever met. She is wonderful and we’re thinking about bringing her home! I hope you had a great weekend too.

Beautiful old church. Sunshine. Breakfast and stories at Junior’s. Stoop sale shopping on the way home. Delicious Easter dinner with good friends. We had a great Easter. I hope you did too.

Rainy Saturday Walk

My sister and her family are looking into renting an apartment in Brooklyn while they are here for our wedding. After finding one available in Fort Greene, I walked over to check it out for them this afternoon and was struck by how lovely Saint James Place is. There had just been a big rainstorm and I took some photos on my phone using the Retro Camera app I just downloaded. I am crazy about the colors.

Spring Sunday

Today is beautiful. The sun is shining. The flowers are blooming. Fort Greene and Clinton Hill are filled with people out enjoying the weather. We took a walk around the neighborhood this afternoon and stopped in at the newly opened Khim’s Millenium Market on the ground floor of Pratt’s fancy new Myrtle Hall building (great produce section and growlers!), ate delicious brunch and checked out the amazing photographs on display by Charlotta Jansenn at Pillow Cafe, and wandered around the Pratt campus for awhile. It was a great end to an incredible weekend. Days like today remind me why I love Brooklyn.
